Title: Decorated Chinese Roof

Jurors Scores Critiques
Ann Alimi 6.5 The bottom black area doesn’t add anything to the image, the carvings are most important and those are neither close or sharp enough to appreciate.

Try tilting image to left a bit to centre it so that you can crop about half inch straight at bottom and a little from the top (too much sky).

Or leave as is and open up the shadows so rest of structure can be seen a little bit. As well there appears to be some discoloration in the sky area around the white areas.

Kerri-Jo Stewart 7 Very interesting image with the cool roof tiles.

Hard shot as well with the bright day, which lost the highlights and burnt in the details on the wall.

An ND filter would have improved the shot dynamics.

Leah Gray 7 The photographer has captured some beautiful detail in this roof.

The main circle is centered in the frame, but the line of the structure runs to the right. Consider either centering the structure or clearly off-set it in the composition.

This image would work well as a black and white. A portion of the sky could be eliminated and the detail brought up in the dark areas.
