Very good detail captured on duck and beautifully handled background. The “thoughtful” look of the duck adds impact.
Try opening up the shadows around the head just a little to show more of the eye.

Nice portrait of a duck and the title is intriguing, as it gives thought to image.
If the eye was brought out more it would strengthen the portrait, as the eye should draw the attention first.
Beautiful capture of the textures on the bird.

A good “portrait” of a mallard duck. The subject is well separated from the background and is nicely in focus.
The bright colours in the background, while interesting, distract us from the subject. The light is quite soft. The feathers at the end of the beak add interest.
