Title: Water

Jurors Scores Critiques
Richard Shapka 5.5 When making any image one should consider what the message will be to the viewer. The title is “Water”, and there is some in the image, however the message with the image is contained with the docked fishing boats.

Focus and depth of field are good over the whole image. It is a busy image with parts of three or more fishing boats and a shed. Suggest a simpler image where there is only one boat shown.

Find a location where the boat is on its own, even leaving the dock or harbor. The camera meter reading came from the bright sky and that is why the boats are grey and have shadows which need to be opened up.

Kerri-Jo Stewart 5 Interesting subjects with some artistic merit / Flat image (try other light for more detail and depth)

Henry Schnell 6 Ships are of constant interest. The image is overexposed and perhaps interest would be better if focus on only one main subject.

Total Score: 16.5
