Your title gives this photo some sense of purpose for the viewer. Essentially a monotone, it does not impart the strong feeling one has with the subject. Converting it to a black and white image will allow this issue to be more acceptable.

Nicely seen with great composition. Images like this one benefit from a tripod and long exposure, especially for a contest. That would bring out more detail and improve sharpness as well.
