Title: Laughing in the Sky

Jurors Scores Critiques
Kerri-Jo Stewart 6 Great composition and point of view. However, backlit can be tricky without adding light on the subject and so it is quite dark and doesn't show any details off.

Richard Shapka 7 The framing of the Ford and lighting make a statement of the photographers’ intention. Good choice! Because the auto is the center of attention, the exposure metering choice needs to be improved.

The sky is the unimportant part of the image, but the camera light meter (perhaps set at matrix) defaults to the sky. Therefor the important detail of the auto is not shown. Try spot metering next time with this high contrast light.

Satya Danu 6 This is a documentary image of a vintage car, plunked right in the centre of the frame. It’s a blotch of mainly black where we don’t see any details anymore, and there are some highlight spots, leading the eye to those parts of the vehicle. Try again with different lighting.

Recommendation: try coming from different angles, like from the side, or from below to make the composition more interesting. The image is rather static. And regarding the title, where is the laughing in the image?
