Title: Eastern Coffee-Shop Entrance

Jurors Scores Critiques
Satya Danu 7 Open door is inviting to come in.
This image would lend itself for a tour guide book.

Richard Shapka 6 Very interesting sculpture and door chosen as subject matter with careful and selective composition shown by inclusion of full door shown on left side of frame.

Image-maker could have moved back a little to show a little more of entrance hall, so door edge is not so tightly framed on left side. By backing up, the full sculpture will be shown, and not cropped off. This sculpture is a visually compelling part of the image, and needs to be show fully to complete the image.

Colors surrounding the door on three sides add to interest of image. These colors tend to be washed out because of the relatively bright light in which image is made. There is not any shadow on sculpture to bring out dimensional features. Casting shadows will make both sculpture and door more mysterious and visually interesting.

Larry Breitkreutz 6 Good exposure. Interesting subject. Image is cropped very tightly. Would like to have seen more context for the subject, i.e., not cropped so tightly.
