A very soft wool or
feather, such as piles, which grows at the end of goat's hair, is
called "Fuzz". After cutting and spinning, it is used to
weave fuzzy cloth. The under arm and breast wool of sheep are believed
as fuzz by mistake.
Carpets made by
these materials are more expensive, more soft and fine.
Fuzz has a
classification like wool. The grades are 41 layers, 48 and 28 double
layers.
A kind of fuzz is
produced in Kashan (Iran) called "6 layers", which is equal
to No. 28 double layers fuzz.
