Seven
century ago, a group of Oquz Turks, living around north Azerbaijan,
between Rezaieh and Van lakes, lrevan and Nakhjavan regions, entered
into Iran and resided in Northern provinces of Iran as well as
Western, Central and South of Iran.
At the end of Safavid dynasty, they were congested us a united tribe
and made a great homeland in South and central parts of Iran under
leadership of an Ilkhan (Chief of tribe), so that in Qajar era they
obtained governorship of large area of Fars and Isfahan.
Their language is a branch of Western Oquz Turkish, having unique
origin with Azerbaijan and Istanbul Turkish languages.
