City of Kerman is the center of Kerman Province, where is one of the central and dry regions of Iran. Relatively high mountain ranges are expanded from West North to East South, though there is no streamy river.

Distance between Kerman and Tehran is 1076 km.

It is surrounded by Yazd from North, Dasht Kavir from East, Bam and Baft from South and Rafsanjan from West.

Its geographical length and width are 57,5' Eastern length and 30,15' Northern width.

Kerman is divided into two parts:
1- Desert and Kavir in Northern part
2- Mountainous in Southern part

City's water is supplied from old and new subterranean canals and because of water deficiency, husbandry is not very common in Kerman.
