Reza Saffari

Reza Saffari was born in Meshed, Iran in 1948. He has lived in Canada for the past 20 years. He was granted a scholarship from the Italian Embassy in Iran and moved to Rome, Italy in 1980. He studied sculpting for 6 years at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome and Frosinone. After graduating he participated in many exhibitions in Iran and Italy where he was very well known and respected for his life size pieces in his community. After spending 8 years perfecting his work in many different cities, he immigrated to Canada in 1988. He now lives and continues to create in Vancouver, B.C.

Called "Immigrants" for the monument in Vancouver Canada
1990 - 2003, Sold many pieces by Art Collectors in Canada.
2003 - 2005, Series of over size statues made and installed in the city in Iran.
