- 1937, He started his professional photography with a camera, which was a gift of his eighth.
- 1940, Teaching in "Le Grande Art Center" in the West of Oregon
- 1941, First Exhibition "Image of Freedom" in New York Modern Art Museum
- 1945, Columbia University, researching on "History of Art"
- 1952, Founded "Aperture", quarterly magazine, with a group
- 1953, to 1961, organized some important photography exhibitions
- 1954, Teaching in "California Fine Arts School"
- 1955, to 1963, teaching in "Rochester Institute of Technology" (RIT)
- 1965, Honorary Professor in "Massachusetts Institute of Technology" (MIT)
