I was an educator by profession specializing in geography and history. This interest coincided nicely with travel and a life long interest in photography. I have traveled to Morocco, Spain, Portugal, Mexico, Peru, Nepal, Columbia, England, Ireland, Scotland, Greece, Egypt, Peru, Ecuador, Syria, Jordan and Tunisia... I have been doing serious photography for 25 years with much of it being nature, landscape and travel photography.

Along the way I became very involved with amateur photography organizations.
I joined the London Camera Club in 1979, and since then have been an active member serving in many positions including two three-year terms as President. In 2002, I received the CAPA Bronze Medal from The London Camera Club for excellence in photography and for twenty years of service to TLCC.

I became a member of the Canadian Association for Photographic Art (CAPA) (formerly known as National Association for Photographic Art, -NAPA) in 1980 and soon became an active member promoting photography in Canada. I co-chaired the 1990 Camera Canada Conference (now Canadian Camera Conference) held in London, Ontario, Canada. I n1992 I joined the Board of the then NAPA and served as Pictorial Director, 2nd Vice President, 1st Vice President and a two-year term as President. (1996-1997)

For my service and accomplishments in photography I have received the honor of "Associate" from the Canadian Association for Photographic Art -- ACAPA, (1994), and from the International Federation for Photographic Art -(FIAP) I received "Distinctions" for Excellence of Service to Photography - ESFIAP (1998).

My photographs have been published in Photo Life Magazine, Canadian Camera Magazine and London Magazine. In competitions I have participated in both Canadian and International competitions. In 1999, I received Best Canadian photograph in the Halifax International Salon of Photography. In total I have received about 50 Acceptances in International competitions. Locally, I have received 10 Awards of Excellence from The London Camera Club.

Currently, I specialize in nature, landscape and travel photography and produce digital audio-visual shows. I regularly present photography programs for camera clubs in Southwestern Ontario and give travel programs to local organizations. Now, the digital technology has expanded my interest in photography and offers endless possibilities of creative expression.
