I am interested in most everything photographic, including making digital images and prints, both color and black and white. After a business career, I completed photography and art history diplomas, at Focal Point and UBC in Vancouver. I consider myself a generalist making photographs of landscape, wildlife, action, people, abstract, and HDR images.

I have enjoyed taking master photographer workshops to expand my photographic knowledge. In November 2018 I completed a print workshop at Santa Fe NM, with fine art printer, Mac Holbert. Other workshops included those with Freeman Patterson, Andre Gallant, Eddie Soloway, Tony Sweet, Jay Maisel, Sam Able, Arthur Meyerson, and Joe McNally.

I will make photographs wherever we travel. On our last trip we hiked and photographed in Croatia. A year ago May the subjects were the hummingbirds, near Cranbrook BC. That was followed up with a second trip to photograph the grizzlys at the Khutzeymateen, a protected area for B C grizzly bears.

I have served on the executive of CAPA, and remain an active CAPA “re” certified judge. I am a member of the Victoria Camera Club; their CAPA & PSA rep, and I manage the club’s presenter night program, as well as participate as a member of the external competition committee.

I use Nikon gear for nature and action photography, but prefer Fuji gear for travelling and street photography.
