I studied cinema in Tehran Film School; I've been cameraman. Sometimes, I've taken some photos. Cinema was my first interest, photography was the second. Photography was changed more serious for me, when I traveled around Iran. I could communicate with people far more better, see and choose them.

Photography is an individual, you have alone among plain, sea, desert, but cinema is teamwork. We (Iranian) fundamentally haven't experience of teamwork and prefer to do alone or in a small community. Because of this, cinema was changed to second, and photography became first. Even, sometimes, my trip was only for photography and look. I enjoy looking even I don't take any photo, look deeply.

I believe, photography is a moment, all the world is in our hands. So, you should wait for. Sometimes, 1 hour, 2 hours, you should wait that the moment comes. Otherwise it won't come. At least I believe in this. In the moments of privacy in, absolute silence, (How can war photographers have privacy among bombs and fires?) and every thing will be in the right position and that bird which we suppose to pass through our frame, it's passing, so every thing is ready. 1/8000 second, 1/60 second, 1/2 second, 2 second… The world is in our hands.

"Now, we can shut the eyes, press the button and listen to the most exceptional sound in the world."
