Akram Sartakhti was born in 1948 in Ray City, south of Tehran.
Because of her family’s poverty, she couldn’t study and married in age of seven.
A house wife and she has 3 children.

She has a great will and strong desire to have a role in society, so she started painting in 50 abruptly.
She didn’t have any education or training in this field and doesn’t know technical and scientific.

Most of the Subjects of her works are her mental and emotional problems for instance her sweet and bitter memories of life, epic and religions fictions that she’s heard in her childhood.

She paints on canvas, pasteboard, paper, ceramic, earthenware, wood, glass and everything, which she finds around herself. She uses oil, watercolor, ink, pastel, color pencil...

While using naive art in her style, her works are very similar to some of the great artists like Paul Kelly & Picasso. In one of the creditable art show on TV her works considered beside Paul Kelly’s works.
