Banafsheh Behzadian was born on 1978 in Iran. She moved to Canada on September 2013. Her love for painting dates all the way back to her childhood at 16, when she first expression through drawing and watercolor. In art school, she studied graphic design and continued to advance in painting while attending Tehran’s Azad University where her acquired a B.A degree, as well as an M.A degree. This was followed by working as an art teacher in Iran.

Statement:
When it comes to her work, women of different eras and their figures have always been the main subject of her paintings. In her most paintings, she became incredibly fascinated by Persian, Greek and Hebrew calligraphy and found inspiration in weaving it through her paintings.
She has also participated in a number of assorted in a number of assorted groups and solo exhibitions in art galleries in Tehran for her Landscape, figure and portrait paintings using acrylic and watercolor. She has also participated in various assorted solo exhibitions in Vancouver, Canada.
