Atefeh Farzindar has been painting for the past 20 years. She studied fine arts, painting and sculpture at the École des Beaux-arts de Versailles and the Ateliers Beaux-Arts de Paris. She completed her doctoral studies in computational linguistics at the Université de Paris-Sorbonne, her Ph.D. at the Université de Montréal and her bachelor at Polytechnic of Tehran. She contributes to Magazin'Art, in which she is listed in the Biennial Guide to Canadian Artists (since 2009).

Atefeh has been applying her femininity to her art for a long time. With her recent collection, the artist remains true to herself by creating a pictorial space in tune with her social commitment, and centered on women and their place in society. In February 2013, Atefeh Farzindar was the winner of Réussir en équilibre (Succeeding with a well-balanced life) in the innovative technologies and information, organized by Femmessor-Montreal.

Her works are represented by galleries in New York, Miami, Paris, London, Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver.
