-Diploma of the Teachers’ Institute (5-year-Diploma following the Preparatory Education), 1966, ranked sixth over Kafr El-Sheikh Governorate
-Diploma of Arabic Calligraphy Institute, 1973, ranked first over Alexandria, second over Egypt, first over Egypt in the Diwany, Normal Persian and Special Persian Calligraphy styles
-Specialized Diploma in Calligraphy and Gilding, 1979, ranked ninth over Egypt, first over Egypt in the subjects of Calligraphy and the History of Calligraphy
-Bachelor of Arts and Pedagogy, Department of Arabic Language, Faculty of Education, Alexandria University, 1980, ranked first with “Very Good” grade (despite the fact that I was not fully dedicated to studying)
-Specialized Diploma in Pedagogy, Faculty of Education, Alexandria University, 1982, “Very Good” grade (despite the fact that I was not fully dedicated to studying)
-Registered to obtain a Masters Degree on “ A Suggested Curriculum for Teaching Arabic Calligraphy to University Students of Arabic Language Department at the Faculty of Education”, through the Department of Curricula and Methods of Teaching, the Faculty of Education, Alexandria University, 1983. The study was not completed and the degree was not obtained due to my travel to work in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from 1983 to 2001
Currently studying at the Institute of Arabic Manuscripts, which is affiliated to the Arab League, Cairo. I started this study in 2002 and I am due to obtain a Higher Diploma in Manuscripts by January 2004

-Member of the Supervisory and Evaluation Committee for Arabic Calligraphy Competition at the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in general

Relevant Achievements:
-Designed and written hundreds of artistic calligraphy paintings
-Egyptian and international newspapers and magazines published most of my designs and paintings
-Contributed numerous articles and features on the Arabic Calligraphy issues to various Egyptian and international newspapers and magazines
-Appeared and was the speaker in several television and radio interviews on Arabic Calligraphy in Egypt and Saudi Arabia 
-Prepared, written and edited some educational books and notebooks on Arabic Calligraphy
-Prepared, written and edited some editions of the “Arabic Calligraphy Notebooks Series” in the Naskh and Rekaa Calligraphy styles 
-Prepared, written and edited eight editions of “Arabic Calligraphy Magazine”; a specialized Arabic Calligraphy magazine
-Supervised Arabic Calligraphy Competitions at the Eastern Educational Zone of Alexandria through the Egyptian Ministry of Education, 1981, 1982 & 1983
-Prepared and conducted training sessions on Arabic Calligraphy
-Held and participated in many Arabic Calligraphy exhibitions in Egypt and outside Egypt
-Participated in the international competitions and festivals of Arabic Calligraphy in Turkey and Iran
-Designed and written many gratitude, appreciation and excellence certificates
· Prepared a television program entitled “A Journey with Arabic Calligraphy” for the Saudi Television
-Participated in various seminars and conferences on Arabic Calligraphy as well as poetry gatherings
-Delivered many lectures on Arabic Calligraphy, its history, types and pioneers
-Prepared several Arabic Calligraphy Exhibitions at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina
-Prepared a seminar entitled “Issues of Calligraphy and Writing, their Features, Reasons and Ways to Handle them”. The Seminar was held at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, September 2003
-Held two workshops on Arabic Calligraphy for children and young people at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, 2002 and 2003

Awards and Certificates of Appreciation:
-Obtained the Medal of Excellence in Arabic Calligraphy from the Saudi Minister of Education at the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, 1998
-Obtained numerous certificates of appreciation for supervising Arabic Calligraphy competitions in Egypt and Saudi Arabia
-Obtained several certificates of appreciation and awards for participating in Arabic Calligraphy exhibitions in Egypt and outside Egypt
