Page Layouts of the
first Iranian Periodicals bear a close resemblance to,
and reveal influences of, the visual features of
Iranian handwritten manuscripts.
Symmetry is their main feature for a long period. And
Symmetry is observed in other aspects of life and
society, such as architecture, interior design of
buildings, and crafts during this period.
This was in harmony with non-visual forms of the art
of this period, such as literature and music. Classic
Iranian poetry contains a form of symmetry, and
Iranian traditional music is not averse to symmetry
either.
