I was born in 1969 in Tehran. Though my courses in school were not about art, I was interested in painting and drawing. In 1991 I entered in the Art University and started to study graphic art. At the same time I faced to cinema studying and study directing films in a Cinema Institute as well. During this time painting on canvas and two dimensional animations were my side artistic activities.
In graphic studying at university I had to pass some courses on photography. This opportune gave me more
knowledge on photographic art and I was interested in that much more. Now I think a photograph can be one of
the still frames of my un-maid film or one of the paintings.
In my opinion ‘no comment’ can be the best title for a photograph. So I prefer to not choose any name or title for my photos and the interpretation of the photos takes place by audiences. I think a work which makes us to mediate and looks beauty is a kind of art.
Techniques and tools are not important as some people think. It is so important to get the suitable tools and techniques for expressing our idea or feeling.
I see photography and cinema as two powerful media.
