Born and raised in Canada, Laura's love of
photojournalism grew after she moved to Sweden in 1990. There she
worked on staff for various large newspapers, including Sweden's
major daily newspaper Dagens Nyheter.She was the first female
photographer on staff at the major sports shooting agency Bildbyran.
Laura has been published in Svenska Dagbladet, Aftonbladet,
Expressen, Goteborgensposten, Sydsvenskan, Smalandsposten and
Sundsvalls Tidning to name a few.
Laura moved back to Canada in 2007 and resides in Vancouver, BC
where she continues to freelance for Swedish and Canadian Media.
Since her return Laura was he official photographer during the H.M.
King Karl XVI Gustaf and Queen Sylvia of Sweden during their Royal
Canadian visit in 2006. She has been successfully featured in the
Calgary Stampede's Western Photo Gallery 2007 and again in 2008.
Laura Leyshon has been published in the Globe and Mail, the Toronto
Star, the National Post, BC Business Magazine, Vancouver Magazine,
Equinox and Harrowsmith Country Life Magazine among others.
