Born in 1944, Brazil
Graduated in Economy, "Vitoria" and
"Sapolo" universities
PHD in Economy, Paris
He commenced with "Finance Ministry" in Brazil
and later as "economic consultant" with many
organizations, as "World Bank".
In 1970, he started his professional photography, when he
has gone to Africa for his job. Later, he commenced with
"World Church Society" in Europe and Africa, as
a free photographer and also started his long term project
"Migrated Worker".
From 1975-1979, he was a member of "Gamma Photography
Institution", a French institute.
1980: Magnum
He has prepared many reportages for publications, as Life,
New York Times, News Week,...
His book "Unstable Success" was published
in 1990.
