Nancy Ruen-Fen Chen was born
in Taiwan and in early childhood studied under master painter,
Huei-Tung Chen.
In 1969, she continued her studies in Montreal, Quebec.
In 1980, moved to Vancouver, where she began serious study in
Chinese painting.
She works primarily in
watercolors on Chinese rice paper, combining both traditional and
contemporary techniques.
In 1984, Nancy became a member of the Federation of Canadian Artists
(FCA).
She is a devoted teacher instructing adults and children in the art
of Chinese painting, since 1989. She conducts workshops and
demonstrations throughout Canada and USA.
Her works has been exhibited abroad.
