He paints huge empty spaces of suburban and industrial
geometrical constructions. Admittedly one cannot discount
the geometrical penetration they contain, yet it is not
the soul of this geometry that prevails: it is the
painter’s criticism of solitude in the immensely
inhabited world of the big city.
It might be described as a criticism of the
de-civilization of the city in its present state.
