Juan Barjola
Born
in 1920, Miguel Sesmero (Badajoz)
He
trained as a painter (not academic) in various workshops
and studios in Madrid.
During
1976 to 1978, Barjola’s paintings have linked up once
more with a highly efficacious pictorial approaching,
involving very dense figuration, very close to
expressionism.
Former,
he had been producing his own personal version of abstract
art, so that there seems to be an argument underlying his
pictorial masses.
He
has held many exhibitions in Spain and has joined in-group
exhibitions of Spanish painting abroad.
He
won the First Prize in National Fine Arts Exhibition.
