Garcia
Ochoa
Born
in San Sebastian, 1920
Incomplete
courses at Schools of Architecture and Fine Arts in Madrid
His
early days as a painter saw him attached to “Madrid
School”, and it was through contact with Spanish capital
that he developed a new concept of scenery.
His painting had been expressive all along, but Ochoa
gradually became less and less interested in scenery and
landscape, for its own sake as he explored the very
condition of expressivities itself, which in due course
came to the forefront as the key problem to be
solved.
His aim was to be more an expressionist than a painter; as
a result he has managed to become an expressionist
painter.
