Title: Captive Window

Jurors Scores Critiques
Satya Danu 6 Here we are looking at the Gooderham Building in Toronto – a flatiron historic structure from 1892. The “windows” are an artist's rendition adorning this building. When we take a photo of people's art work, we create a 'journalistic' documentation of this piece of art – a kind of replica. This art work might be copyrighted. So, it stands to reason that we honour the artist by referencing the artist's name, when we submit the art work in a photo “art” competition.
This image's content suits the competition's theme.

Richard Shapka 7 Composition including the framing is well handled. Focus is excellent. Subject of the windows within the window adds some visual interest with the sense of depth achieved by the original artist/artwork.

This image could be much improved by making it in much softer light; that is, either in early morning or at dusk.
With the photograph presented, the image-maker could have made an adjustment to darken the mid tones to improve this color contrast.

Larry Breitkreutz 7 Composition is well handled. Good exposure. The small branch on the right side of the image about 1/3 of the distance from the bottom is somewhat distracting.
