Courses are being planned in the BC Lower Mainland (and various
locations across Canada). You learn how to:
- Identify the strengths and weaknesses in a photograph
- See the message the photographer intends
- Spot the criteria that makes a photograph great
- Understand the techniques used to create the image
- Set aside your own personal bias when evaluating
- Apply a fair and impartial score to an image
- Understand what judges look for in your photography
- Discover new rules for evaluating photography
- Know why it's OK to break rules for great photography
- Qualify to become a CAPA Certified Judge

Second Annual Wildlife Photography of the Year Contest is sponsored by a
partnership between Canadian Geographic Photo Club, The Canadian Museum
of the Nature, the Alliance of Natural History Museum of Canada and
Canada Post. Submit your photos in one of
Five Wildlife Categories
and you could have them featured on genuine Canadian postage stamps, be
part of the Canadian Museum of Nature's traveling photographic
exhibition, which will tour the country at some of the Canada's finest
museums and be published in "Canadian Geographic", as well as
cash prizes.
To enter, you need to sign up Canadian Geographic Photo Club, and submit
your photos. All photographs must feature Canadian content. Online
