Photo Club"
is going to hold the "Third Annual Photography Group
Exhibition 2008", this year in North Vancouver. "Caroun
Photo Club"
is a member of the "Canadian Association for Photographic Art"
(CAPA).
This Competition is open to the all individual photographers in Canada
and worldwide (International): Professional and Amateur photographers, and who are interested in
photography and take photos!
Subject: Close Up
Slides, Negatives or Digitals (Black & White or Color) are accepted.
Each Photographer could send maximum 4 photos; among them, one or more may
be chosen or not.
Caroun Photo Club will select the photos.
Deadline December 31, 2008 Pacific time!
Each Photographer should send the following documents:
- Each photographer may submit up to four images.
- The maximum print size accepted is 20"x24" (50.8x61 cm),
with the image size no longer than 16"x20" (40.7x50.8 cm); fix your photos on Foam Board!
1" or 2" white borders around the photos!
- Application form should be filled out for each photo; stick it at the
back of each photo by tape.
- A CD containing all the works (Size of Photos: some 1000x700
pixels)
- If you're a member of a photographic organization, send a copy of your membership cards of CPC
or (CAPA, PSA...);.
- Entry fee payment

All
the works should be received before the last day of 2008. Works received after
2008, could not participate in the competition.
Do not send the photos, which are exhibited before, or have taken part
in other competitions.
All the works, which have not the determined specifications, will be
canceled.
A Canadian Jury (Photographers) will select the works.
The selected works will be announced on Spring 2009. This is Final.
Prizes:
*The First Winner achieve:
- $1000 cash
- a "CAPA Gold Medal"
- a "CPC Certificate"
*The Second Winner achieve:
- a "CAPA Silver Medal"
- a "CPC Certificate"
- One year CPC membership
*The Third Winner achieve:
- a "CAPA Bronze Medal"
- a "CPC Certificate"
* The Ten Selected works achieve:
- a "CPC Honor Mention"
Winners, selected works and some more good photographs will be exhibited
a gallery in Vancouver in 2009 or 2010.
Photographer should determine the price of himself/herself photos for
the exhibition; after reducing the commission of the gallery, half of
the rest will be paid to the photographer (Costs of wiring or transferring
of this amount will be reduced!)
No material will be
returned! Photographers,
who are interested to have their works back, could have their photos
at the closing date of the exhibition in the gallery. Anyone, out of
Vancouver, who wants his/her works back, should send suitable envelope
(package) with enough Canadian stamp (or equivalent cash) too. CPC has
no responsibility for any damages on the materials.
A Permanent digital Exhibition of these works will be shown in this
website.
All the members, who want to take part in this competition, should renew
their membership. The expiry date of the membership of the participants
should be after December 29, 2009. Renew your membership NOW!

Entry Fees:
- For members of CPC: $20 ($5 for each photo) (For payment in Iran
20,000 Tomans, each photo 5,000 Tomans)
- For members of CAPA or PSA: $30 ($7.50 for each photo) (For payment in
Iran 30,000 Tomans)
- For other photographers: $40 ($10 for each photo) (For payment in Iran
40,000 Tomans)
Fees could be paid cash, Canadian cheques, money order or draft by mail.
Canadian cheques (from a bank in Canada) should be payable to "Caroun
Photo Club".
International Payments:
- You can wire the fee plus $15 bank charges;
- You can send money order or draft;
- There is some facilities for payments in USA and Iran. Please ask for international payment's details!
No money will be refund! You cannot change your photos as you sent them once!
