Singapore History Museum explores the rich heritage of the
people of Singapore. From their ethnic and religious
diversity, to the struggle for nationhood, the museum
traces the trends and developments that have characterized
and shaped life in Singapore from as early as 14th
century.
Visitors can stroll through an early 20th century
Peranakan house, fully recreated with its imposing
ancestral hall, to the intricately furnished bridal
chamber.
Visitor can also enjoy "Singapore Story, Overcoming
Odds: A 3-D Experience", the only high definition 3-D
show in town that presents the history of Singapore
through animation, virtual sets and historical footages.
Free guided tours in English and Japanese are found.
