This building is the ancient Municipality of Shahroud, which has been transformed into a museum.

Covering 30625 sq. m, it represents the distinguished architectural techniques of late Qajar and early Pahlavi periods.

Shahroud Museum houses both archeological and ethnological sections. Its two-story structure is remarkable for its architectural style and exterior tile works.
