In early 3rd century, Armenian believed in Christianity, so cross shape motif are
mostly seen in their kilims. Most of their crafts have signature, footnote and
date and kilims are not exception of this rule.
During 19th century, so many kilims were woven by Kurds, who lived near "Irevan" city
and "Ararat" mountains.
In past, "Shadda" and "Zilu" were woven in Armenia villages, near "Narghoni", Karibak.
Armenian used "Carpet" and "Yamani" names for their kilims. These names are sometimes
used in some parts of Caucasia.
