The Great Kremlin Palace
The common name of the “Great Kremlin Palace”
is used for a group of civil and ecclesiastical buildings
of different times- from the facets Palace of the 15th
century to grandiose 19th-century palace.
The idea of combining architectural monuments built over
four centuries behind a façade of a new representational
palace is quite an original one. Its structure is so
complex and comprises so much valuable architecture that
each piece must be dealt with separately.
Keeping to traditional styles of narration about
historical values, it would be only logical to arrange
them in chronological order and thus leave the Great
Kremlin Palace, which was built in 1838-1849, to the end.
