Golestan Dam
In the beginning of Torqabeh fertile valley and 4 km from
it, in Timurid era, a huge brick dam was founded, still
known as "Golestan Dam" and despite of
renovations and changes, it has kept its strength and
beauty.
Dam, because of its importance and high place in
agricultural and water utilization history, possession of
several agricultural areas and observance of technical
principles in 15th century, is used yet.
Length of Dam in the bottom of the river area is 31 m and
in the top 101 m. Thickness in the top 15 m and in the
bottom 25 m. Its height is 15 m.
The lake behind Dam, which is filled with water in the
spring, produces a magnificent view.
