Dodar School (Two-Door School)
This building, situated opposite Pirzad School in the
vicinity of Shrine, according to the writing on its portal
cornice, was built in 1423 AD in the reign of Shahrokh
Timurid and with the assistance of "qiaseddin Khajeh
Bahador", one of the governors of Khorasan.
The school is four-terraced and contains booths and
chambers in two floors, which are not symmetrical in shape
and size.
It has two beautiful turquoise domes on its Southern and
Western angles. Southern dome is built on caretaker's
quarter.
There are Persian poems, written on Southern dome in
Thulth script, which stress the non-reliability of the
world and good virtues.
decorations include scripts and single colored mosaic
tiles.
Dodar School was repaired in 1678, on the order of the
mother of Shah Solomon Safavi.
