Guilan Gharb
Guilan Gharb is located in mountainous area in the West of the province. Median catacomb, in Deyareh village, is located in the central part of this district.

Islamabad GHarb
It is situated in mountainous region in the central part of the province and West of Kermanshah city. Chuqa Gavaneh hill relics, remains of castle (in Richab district, near BanzarDeh village) built in Sassanid era and consisting four round towers, indicate the antiquity of this area. Baba Yadegar Tomb (16th century) is also located here.

JavanRoud
It is located in mountainous area in the North-west of the province. There are the catacombs of Ravansar, dating back to Median period. At the orifice of this world-famous monument, there is carving represnting a man.

Kangavar
It is located in the East of the province, in mountainous and flat region. "Godin Tappeh ancient town", 12 km South-east of Kangavar, dates back to 3000 years ago. The historical significance of this old town is because of famous monument called "Hall of Apadana". The glorious days of Goddin Tappeh were in Median period.

Kermanshah (center of the province)
From Paleolithic time to the present, this district has been the home of many people. This city represent remarkable part of the history of Iran.

Ghasr Shirin
It is situated in the West of the province, 21 km from the border of Iran and Iraq, on Halvan river. "Char Ghapi Fire-temple", dates back to Sassanid monarch, located here.

Sahneh
Between Bisotoun and Temple of Anahita, in Kangavar, there are two sites of interest. Just after Bisotoun, a road leads North 58 km to Sonqor, where there is Mongol Tomb-Tower. The road goes through Dinavar plain, which was the site of an important town in 10th century AD. On the main road to Hamadan and 25 km from Bisotoun is City of Sahneh, from where a road leads Northwest to rock-cut tombs for Farhad and Shirin, two legendary lovers.

Sar Pol Zahab
It is also located in the East of the province, in mountainous and flat region. One of the sights of this district is the carved figure of a king of Lolobi dynasty (3000 BC) in Miankal. There are some relieves and inscriptions in Acadian language (ancient Persian carving style). There are also impressive catacombs, 3 km South-east of the town. Figure of praying Median man (ancient ritual), stony roofed veranda called "Taq Gara" in Pataq defile and on the route of Kermanshah-Qasr Shirin, which dates back to Parthian epoch are among its other interesting places. The architecture of this veranda is in Greek style.

Songhor
It is also located in the East of the province. Big Darband catacombs, dating back to Median period, are in this city. On the doorway of catacombs, there is the relief of the symbol of the chief deity of Zoroastrianism, i.e. Ourmazd.

Temple of Anahita
This quadrilateral monument was built on hill and dedicated to the goddess of water. The stairways, running both sides of the building, resemble the stairways of Persepolis. worshippers of the goddess Anahita praised her by going round a place, in which water is flowing. Effects of Hellenistic and Parthian architecture on this temple are visible.
