The city of Kerman is located in the Southeast of Iran,
1064 km from Tehran. Its climate its temperate, although
the amount of precipitation is comparatively low.
Kerman is ancient city and was the national capital
in different periods. There are numbers of monuments
dating back to Sassanian Monarch; Ardeshir Castle and
Dokhtar Castle are among them.
In Safavid era, in the local government of Kerman
Ganj Ali Khan, notable buildings were founded, which most
of which have survived and now are called "Ganj Ali
Khan Complex". The important features of old
architecture of Kerman are high walls, narrow alleys and
domed roofs.
