The 400-years old Shri Mangesh Temple in Ponda, near Panjim is an old Hindu shrine.

The Great Carnival in Goa is celebrated for 3 days preceding Lent, when King Momo is led ceremoniously into the city and installed as benevolent Lord of Misrule.
