Church and ex-Convent of Santa Clara
Only the church remains of this once impressive 17th
century baroque complex.
The facade has twin doorways, cupola and tower.
On the inside, there are magnificent baroque side alter
pieces profusely decorated with medallions, sculptures and
paintings.
The top and bottom choruses, off to one side, have
magnificent railings and mantilla like openwork on top has
one cross in the middle.
Also outstanding, the filigree pulpit whit silver and
mother-of-pearl incrustation, the wrought iron galleries, antichrist
door finished with iron shell and sculptures in alters,
specially Purisima by Manuel Tolsa.
